Scouting Report & Player Insights
Tiago Djaló is a Portuguese centre-back at Beşiktaş, a tall, quick, front-foot defender who likes to step out and intercept, and is comfortable carrying the ball forward. He established himself at Lille, including their title-winning era, before a serious knee injury interrupted his rise; a subsequent move to Juventus never took off and he barely featured in Turin or on loan at Porto. Turkey represents a reset, where his pace, aerial presence and ball-playing ability make him a strong Süper Lig-level defender when fit.
Came through Sporting CP's academy before joining AC Milan, then moved to Lille in the deal involving Rafael Leão's transfer the other way.
Was part of the Lille squad during their surprise Ligue 1 title triumph over PSG.
Suffered an ACL injury at Lille and was signed by Juventus while still recovering, but made almost no appearances for the club.
