Steve Mounié is a Benin international striker, a 1.90 metre target forward who leads the line with hold-up play, aerial strength and runs into the box. Born in Parakou, he came through Montpellier's academy, scored regularly on loan at Nîmes in Ligue 2, then moved to Huddersfield Town and played in the Premier League. He spent four seasons at Brest in Ligue 1 before joining FC Augsburg in 2024, and was loaned to Alanyaspor in Turkey in 2025-26. A long-standing Benin regular, he played at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Scored twice on his Premier League debut for Huddersfield Town, a 3-0 win at Crystal Palace on 12 August 2017.
