Nicky Souren is a Curacao international midfielder, born in Rotterdam and raised in Eijsden, who came through the Roda JC academy and made his senior debut in the Eerste Divisie in 2018. He moved to MVV Maastricht in 2021, where he grew into a key midfielder, and joined Cambuur on a three-year deal from July 2024. He was named club captain on arrival before passing the armband to Mark Diemers a few weeks later. A compact 1.73 m central or defensive midfielder, he was first called up by Curacao in May 2024.
