Mert Kömür is a German attacking central midfielder of Turkish descent and one of Augsburg's homegrown talents, able to work in central or advanced midfield roles. Born in Dachau, he came through the youth ranks of TSV Dachau, 1860 Munich and FC Augsburg, and debuted in the Bundesliga as a substitute against Hoffenheim in April 2024.
