Joris Kayembe is a left-back with Belgian and DR Congo nationality who plays for DR Congo who can also cover at centre-back, and he began his career as a left winger. He came through RSD Jette, FC Brussels, Standard Liège and FC Porto, he moved through loans at Arouca and Rio Ave and a spell at Nantes before rebuilding his career at Charleroi, where he was converted to left-back. He joined KRC Genk in 2023 and has since represented DR Congo, including at the Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup.
Made his FC Porto first-team debut as a substitute against Olhanense on 4 May 2014.
Switched from left winger to left-back at Charleroi from the 2020-21 season.
Played twice for Belgium in 2020 before switching to DR Congo, whom he has represented since 2023.
