Geny Catamo is a Mozambican right winger who plays for Sporting CP, a small and quick attacker who wins many duels and attacks defenders directly down the flank. He moved from Mozambique to Portugal as a teenager, joined Sporting in 2019 and made his first-team debut in December 2021. After loans at Vitória de Guimarães and Marítimo he became a regular in Sporting's title-winning sides. He is a long-standing international for Mozambique, whom he has helped to a first win at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Scored twice in Sporting's April 2024 league win over Benfica and was named man of the match.
Won the Primeira Liga in 2023-24 and 2024-25 and the 2024-25 Taça de Portugal with Sporting.
