Diogo Gonçalves is a Portuguese attacking midfielder and winger who prefers to drift in from the flank and link play between the lines. A technical dribbler by profile, he combines close control with a sense for the final pass and a useful scoring return from wide areas. He came through Benfica's academy and played for their senior side before moving on to Copenhagen and Real Salt Lake.
