Berkay Yilmaz is a German-born left-back who represents Turkey at youth level. Born in Singen, he joined the SC Freiburg academy in 2020, signed his first professional contract in 2021 and played for Freiburg II in the 3. Liga before going out on loan. He spent two seasons at 1. FC Nürnberg in the 2. Bundesliga, gaining regular senior experience, and returned to Freiburg on 1 July 2026. He has won Turkey caps from U17 up to U21 level and is working to establish himself in the first team.
Named in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship Team of the Tournament in 2024.
Loaned to 1. FC Nürnberg on 27 August 2024 and returned to SC Freiburg on 1 July 2026.
